Launched in 2021, The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (the College) licenses and regulates Canadian immigration and citizenship consultants in the public interest. The College’s role, its statutory authority, and its powers are set out in: The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants Act, The Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, and The Citizenship Act.
Thousands of professionals and educational institutions will rely on the new college, therefore building a well designed solution that is able to communicate complicated legal processes was imperative. The College plays a key role in establishing and administering qualification standards, standards of practice, and continuing education requirements for licensees. Furthermore, they ensure compliance with the Code of Professional Conduct; and Undertaking public awareness activities.
Enginess worked with The College’s stakeholders to bring to fruition a comprehensive digital platform. After exhaustive CMS procurement process The College chose Advantage CSP to build the foundation for a critical piece of The College’s key digital investments.

Being a digital property of the Government of Canada, The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants’ new digital platform was a large and complex project due to strict language and accessibility requirements. Advantage CSP was able to meet The College’s strict bilingual language parity requirements, with multilingual support, language url rewrite rules and reducing content creation strain by allowing their team to duplicate content from English to French and simply focus on translation. Enginess delivered a beautiful, modern, and user-friendly website, one that is also fully AODA WCAG AA compliant.
